Nanjing Travel Guide

The capital of Jiangsu Province and the ancient capital of six dynasties

Nanjing Travel Guide

Nanjing is located in the eastern part of China, along the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, and is the capital of Jiangsu Province. The vicissitudes of the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties and the brilliant civilization of a modern city make Nanjing, a historic city nestled by mountains and rivers, unique and charming.

The longest river in China, the Yangtze River, spans across Nanjing and divides the city into two regions: Jiangnan and Jiangbei. The towering buildings in the Xinjiekou area of the city center echo the historical scenic spots such as the Ming City Wall ruins and the Presidential Palace, making the past history seem within reach. The stops and glances in front of the Ming Xiaoling and Zhongshan Mausoleum, as well as the past times in front of Wuyi Lane and Laomen East, are all vivid memories left by time for Nanjing. Walking slowly along the Qinhuai River Confucius Temple, which nurtures the growth of the city, the old city area of Nanjing is still clearly visible, and along the way, one can still hear the elderly speaking standard Nanjing dialect.
